Do people read these? I don't know, probably not but I love writing them all the same. My mother is a hard to buy for woman, she typically has everything she wants or if not will buy it instantly and doesn't care overmuch for baubles and trinkets. A good pirate she would not make. Therefore on a very special birthday I decided to write this song about her and how important she is to me. Not only has she figuratively and literally saved my life but she is also a former single teenage mother who went on to dominate the finance industry in the face of every stereotype and prejudice going in a typically old white male oriented sector. Heady stuff and this song does her not nearly enough justice.
